Overview

Kincaid Furniture had a backend system for inventory management, but needed a way to leverage that for retail partners who put in a Kincaid Shoppe dedicated display in furniture stores.

Challenge

Create a digital application for retail sales associates for phones and tablets to quickly access all product, pricing and availability info so they can immediately support customer buying decisions in store.

Goal

Led the design and in-house development of a mobile retail app which provided real-time inventory information. Integrated low-energy beacon technology for location-specific pricing, boosting user experience by eliminating the need for log-ins. Delivered the project on time and under budget.

Results

Mobile app adoption reached 80% of Kincaid Shoppe locations in first 3 months and sales in those locations increased 15% on average compared to prior quarter.
